Educational Programs

Gain a deeper understanding of science through discovery at the Alaska SeaLife Center!

Our programs are offered year-round. Visit the aquarium and participate in Day Programs or our popular overnight Nocturne Sleepovers.

For schools in the Anchorage, Mat-Su, and Kenai Peninsula areas we can bring our Outreach Programs directly to your school.

If your school has interactive videoconference equipment, our Distance Learning programs are a great way to visit the SeaLife Center without leaving your classroom!

Join the Alaska SeaLife Center's OCEAN SCIENCES CLUB for Seward area students in grades 6-12.

The club is on break through the summer, but will meet again most Wednesdays 5:00-6:30 PM during the 2015-2016 school year. The club's kick-off meeting will be August 26 @ 5:00 PM. Families are welcome and pizza will be provided! For more information, please call (907) 224-6306 or email

The ANNUAL TEACHER WORKSHOP, hosted by the Alaska SeaLife Center and the National Park Service's Ocean Alaska Science & Learning Center, will be held again this year, October 16-18! This year's focus is on integrating the seven Ocean Literacy Principles into grade 6-12 classrooms. There will also be a focus on Ocean Acidification. Professional credit will be available.
