Tour and Activity Information and Pricing

The Alaska SeaLife Center offers great visitor facilities, flexible scheduling, and a wonderful opportunity to experience Alaska’s marine animals. The Center is located at mile 0 of the Seward Highway.

SUMMER HOURS: May 15-September 14, 2009, Monday-Thursday 9:00am-6:30pm, Friday-Sunday 8:00am-6:30pm  
WINTER HOURS: September 14, 2009-April 30, 2010, 10:00am-5:00pm daily
General Admission: Adult $20.00 Student (12-17 or with ID) $15.00
Child (4-11) $10 ● Age 3 and under Free
Explore the Center at a leisurely pace while enjoying daily programs and activities.
60 - 90 minutes recommended for self guided walking tour.
Military, AAA, AARP, AK Resident Discounts available with ID.
ALL Tours and Programs require General Admission unless otherwise noted.

Behind-the-Scenes Tour: $15 per Adult, $10 per student. Maximum of 12 people per guide,
minimum age 12. 
Summer Schedule: 10:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm daily; Winter Schedule: 1:00pm daily.
Get an in-depth perspective on the Center’s marine wildlife research, rehabilitation projects, and life support systems. Go behind the scenes and learn what is involved in caring for seals, sea lions, octopus, seabirds, and 154 species of fish and their varied habitats and aquariums.  60 minutes.

Puffin Encounter Tour: $79 per Adult, $59 per Student, $39 per Youth. Maximum of 4 people per tour, minimum age 10, 10 -11 year olds require adult accompaniment.

Summer Schedule: 11:00am and 2:00pm daily; Winter Schedule: 2:00pm daily.   
Get acquainted with Alaska’s puffins and other seabirds inside our avian habitat and behind the scenes.  Tour requires standing, kneeling, and walking on uneven ground.  Closed-toed shoes recommended.  60 minutes.

Octopus Encounter Tour: $79 per Adult, $59 per Student, $39 per Youth. Maximum of 4 people per tour, minimum age 6, children age 6-11 require adult accompaniment.
Year-round Schedule: 1:00pm daily.  
Go behind the scenes and get a hands-on introduction to one of our most mysterious creatures, the giant Pacific octopus.
60 minutes.

Marine Mammal Encounter Tour: $79 per Adult, $59 per Student. Maximum of 4 people per tour, minimum age 12,
12-16 year olds require adult accompaniment.
Summer Schedule: 11:00am and 3:00pm daily; Winter Schedule: 2:00pm daily.
Join a staff mammalogist in one of our outdoor laboratories and participate in a training session with one of our “sealebrities.”  60 minutes.

Marine Mammals Family Program:  $15 per person. Minimum of 4 people, maximum of 32. Minimum 48 hour advanced reservation required. Custom time set at guest’s request, subject to staff availability.
This program will introduce you and your children to Alaska’s marine mammals with an interactive presentation and fun activities. 60 minutes.

Cephalopods Family Program: $15 per person. Minimum of 4 people, maximum of 32. Minimum 48 hour advanced reservation required. Custom time set at guest’s request, subject to staff availability. 
Dissect a squid and discover why these animals are so fascinating to scientists and animal lovers alike. 45 minutes.

Twilight Tour**: $100 per person. Minimum of 4 people. Minimum 7 day advanced reservation required.
Summer Only: 6:30-8:30pm.
Be the only guests in the Center for a private program, tour and picnic dinner.   ** Includes admission
