AmeriCorps Placement: The Alaska SeaLife Center is now hosting AmeriCorps* placements in ourAvian Husbandry, Marine Mammal Husbandry, & Laboratory Departments. These are volunteer positions requiring 1700 service hours, equaling 11 months of service. These exciting new positions will work closely with our Avian, Mammal, or Laboratory staff on husbandry or laboratory related activities as well as educational development and implementation. In addition, we are now hosting AmeriCorps placements in our Education Department. These positions require 900 service hours, equaling 6 months of service. This is an excellent way to gain more experience in the field of husbandry or laboratory and education! A food stipend and other perks are supplied by the AmeriCorps for these positions.
