learn more about Alaska SeaLife Center's (ASLC) Project
MASTER and how scientists use satellite telemetry. Before
you submit a question you should search the
Alaska SeaLife Center Web Site for your answer. Below
are guidelines to asking an appropriate question as well
as instructions on what happens to your question after you
send it to us.
Guidelines:
Your question should relate specifically to satellite telemetry
and research being done at the Alaska SeaLife Center.
If you are interested in general information
about marine science and animals, first search www.vims.edu/bridge/ask.html.
For questions about careers in marine science, try www.madsci.org/libs/areas/search.html.
Please remember that we do not answer basic
reference, homework or science project questions. We also
will not write reports or answer test questions.
What happens when you submit a question?
1. After you submit your question, you will
get a confirmation that ASLC received it.
2. A Project MASTER Scientist will review your question.
Project MASTER scientists are professionals working with
the Center on areas of marine animal research that may involve
telemetry.
3. We generally plan for approximately a one-week turn around
time on questions. This allows your question to be sent
to more then one individual if necessary. You will be notified
if an answer to your question can not be found.
4. Please be patient, some questions may require research
on the part of the person providing an answer. We will do
our best to answer accurately.
We cannot guarantee the
complete accuracy of information provided. In the event
inconsistencies or errors are found, we intend to make corrections
as swiftly and as fairly as possible. If you believe you
