Seward Science Symposium
The Seward Science Symposium highlights local science and research, including Indigenous-led work, and aims to build pride, stewardship, and stronger connections between our community and the environment.
Join us Friday, October 16th, for a day of sharing local science. Regional researchers, educators, and community members will present on relevant science, cultural work, and the connections between them.
Go beyond the presentations at the Community Science Day, with hands-on marine science activities, inspiring cultural art and performances, and meaningful connections with the local community.
Dive in for our evening activities Marine Music Bingo and Marine Science Trivia to test your ocean IQ, catch the right songs from a live DJ, and compete for great prizes!
New this year, join artist and filmmaker Max Romey of Trailbound Sketches for a paid 2-hour watercolor workshop! This is a fully interactive, hands-on session where every guest will paint their own coastal watercolor masterpiece.
