Average Length: 5 ft.
Average Weight: 210 lbs.
Diet in the Wild: Fish and invertebrates, including cod, capelin, herring, crabs, shrimp, octopus
Reproduction Period: Pups are born on sea ice in March/April and wean after 3-6 weeks
Habitat: Arctic/subarctic waters, often near the edge of ice floes
