We will use ecological information to inform structured decision-making workshops that we will hold in the local communities. This decision-making process will guide discussions of the costs and benefits of different pipeline routes, by weighing aspects of cash income, subsistence hunting, and cultural values to create a vision for sustainability and means of achieving it. This project will supply data and models to assess possible effects of different construction alternatives, and provide a mechanism for local communities to thoroughly evaluate and prioritize those alternatives.
